THURSDAY - 6 November
FESTIVAL OPENING — CALADRI, Speculative Worldbuilding

Caladri is a speculative-anthropological research project by Po:era, imagining a slowly rotating exoplanet where life is possible only within a migrating twilight belt. From this premise emerge two mobile societies that preserve memory through non-digital echo chambers.

Grounded in real astrophysical and biological data, the project uses plausible speculation to ask how life might adapt under extreme climate conditions.

Developed as part of anatomia publica, Open Stage for Scientific, Aesthetic & Social Research Practices at T AT - Tieranatomisches Theater, curated by Paz Ponce.

Mapping in collaboration with Miguel Chaparro.

Artist Talk with Po:era
A Planetary Fiction in Progress

16:00 – 17:00
Object Lab (HU Berlin)

The opening event of ONSITE 2025, the Artist Talk with Po:era (Daniel Weyand & Lucas Lacerda) at the Object Lab, invites researchers from fields such as anthropology, climate science, biology, and neuroscience – together with visitors of all backgrounds – to reflect on the SF framework of Caladri – A Planetary Fiction in Progress.

Starting from a single object linking fiction to earthly realities, the discussion unfolds through resonant responses rather than analyses, creating a shared space where scientific and artistic ways of knowing intersect.

The talk also serves as a prologue to an installation under the dome of the Tieranatomisches Theater.

Sound Journey and
Collective Writing Sessions

18:00 - 21:00
TA T - Tieranatomisches Theater

Three guided sessions:
18:00 / 19:00 / 20:00
Duration: 40 min · Headphones provided · English narration only

In the historic dome of TA T, an immersive star projection transforms the space into a planetary environment. Equipped with headphones, visitors move through the installation while listening to one of three narrative tracks set on a fictional exoplanet.

The audio walk turns each participant into a co-author: three narrative paths are offered – the hero’s journey, the back story, or the more-than-human view – followed by an optional collective writing session.

re:natura is a non-profit artist collective, music label and experimental laboratory with a clear, shared vision.

With a focus on topics of biodiversity, we explore animals, plants, landscapes and natural phenomena. In the critical tradition of naturalists, we compose, publish, perform and convey experimental musics that are concerned with the specifics of life.
